Among the many experiences that have shaped my intellectual and personal growth, winning Second Place globally in the John Locke Essay Competition (Theology Category) stands as one of my proudest achievements. This recognition was not just about academic excellence—it was a testament to my lifelong journey of exploring faith, philosophy, and the intersection of spirituality with modern thought.

The competition challenged me to engage deeply with theological debates, critically analyzing historical and contemporary perspectives on divinity, morality, and the human condition. Drawing from my background in Buddhism, Taoism, and Catholicism, I crafted an argument that sought to reconcile spiritual introspection with rational inquiry, demonstrating how ancient religious wisdom remains profoundly relevant in today’s world.

The award ceremony in London was an unforgettable moment. Receiving the honor from a former UK Prime Ministerat an elegant evening gala was surreal, but what truly made the experience special was the opportunity to share my ideas on a global stage. Beyond the award, I was invited to deliver my own keynote speech, presenting my thoughts on theology’s role in shaping ethical discourse in the age of artificial intelligence. Standing before an audience of scholars, policymakers, and fellow thinkers, I felt the weight of responsibility—not just as a competitor, but as a bridge between tradition and the future.

This experience reaffirmed my commitment to intellectual exploration and cross-cultural dialogue. Theology, often seen as rigid or outdated, is, in fact, an ever-evolving conversation that speaks to the core of human existence. As I move forward, I carry with me the belief that true wisdom lies in integrating the old and the new—honoring the past while pioneering the future.
